Stay
About the destination: Bormio is a municipality of the upper Valtellina, in the province of Sondrio, and an important national tourist destination of mountain. Famous for having hosted the Alpine FIS World Championships in 1985 and, more recently, in 2005, Bormio is located within the Stelvio National Park and is now a lively resort in both winter and summer. The country, in fact, is the perfect destination for sports: in winter you can go ice skating, snowboarding, skiing, and in summer you can question yourself with mountain biking, climbing in, or something quieter Such as golf, fishing or archery. For those who exclusively treat to relaxation, the famous baths of Bormio are perfect, where the protagonist is, precisely, the thermal water of the source of Cinglaccia. Even from the point of view of the culinary Bormio is undoubtedly a country to discover: the excellent bresaola, the spectacular cheese "Bitto" and "homemade" and good wine are just some of the products that can not be missed.

2. Livigno, Lombardy
Stop
About the destination: Livigno is a town, comune and a special-administered territory in the province of Sondrio, in the region of Lombardy, Italy, located in the Italian Alps, near the Swiss border. Livigno's first settlers were probably shepherds during the Middle Ages. The first documents called this area Vinea et Vineola. The name possibly comes from an old German word for "avalanche" which have always been frequent in the valley – the last avalanche to hit the village was in 1951, causing seven deaths and damage to a dozen houses. Politically, Livigno has always followed Bormio's history, although the relationships between the two communes have always been tense, Bormio being dominant and more populous than Livigno. Until the 1970s Livigno was a farming village. In recent decades, however, things have changed, and nowadays Livigno enjoys a better economic situation and a higher number of inhabitants. Livigno has recently enjoyed one of Italy's highest birth rates (19.4 births per 1000 inhabitants).[3] Livigno's economy is based on tourism, both in winter and in summer, and on its duty-free status, with goods sold at bargain prices.

About the destination: Sondrio is a city in Italy belonging to the homonymous province. It is located in the northern part of the Lombardy region, right in the center of Valtellina. Its name comes from the Latin Sundrium, which was a type of private property of land cultivated directly by the landowner and his workers. These lands are now vineyards, the most famous being those of Sassella and Grumello. Wine represents one of the main resources of the region, together with tourism, especially in winter. The center of Sondrio is located in the Plaza Garibaldi. Not far from there is the Palazzo Sassi, which houses the Art and History Museum of Valtellina.
